Description

It being Full Moon time (it's almost Easter), it is not time for nebulas or galaxies, so I fell back on stellar objects or anyway objects with high superficial lunimosity.
I spent about an hour imaging M35, to collect more light than in previous experiments, and surely a fair number of stars is visible.
However M35 is probably already too big an object for the coma free field of the Equinox 2: according to plate solving the field of a single frame is about 46x34 arcmin, and the really coma free part is probably 20x20 arcmin.
Everytime I fumble with collimation, I think I may have solved an issue on one side of the frame, only to find it on another side: this latest attempt is probably not the best, but I now seriously doubt there is any way to get rid of coma on the whole field of the frame.
Probably this is considered acceptable by the producer, given that the mean destination of the scope is EAA, not AP.
Through post-processing stars can be improved, but not made spotless.
